Australia fire up against England

Australia was all fired up to dominate in Tuesday night’s semi-final against England.
Their plan of attack was successful as high lobs were frequently directed down court to the Bisset and Caldwell combination in the Australian goal circle.
Despite the height difference Beckford-Chambers did an admirable job defending against her towering opponent, and frequently worried the goal-shooter’s attempts at goal.
England played a highly defensive game in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and often made unforced errors which gave Australia more of an advantage.
The testing quarter was the third where Australia scored 22-10 and even though the final quarter score was only 12-11 to Australia, the deed was done and Australia took the game to a convincing score of 63-42.
Australia now head into the final on Thursday night against New Zealand who held off against a close tussle with Jamaica to win 58-45.
