Tennis court preparation

The gardens around the new tennis courts at Nikao are starting to shape up in readiness for the Pacific Mini Games in two weeks time.
Planting is in progress and our recent rains will help to ensure that they are looking their best during the tennis programme  from 22 September to 1 October.
An unsightly rubbish is currently situated next to the new tennis courts in Nikao. The office of the Nikao Member of Parliament, Ngamau Munokoa, has given an assurance that this mess will be totally cleaned up before the beginning of the games.
Meanwhile tennis administration is ready to take over the nearby playcentre.
On September 11, the Blackrock Apii Potiki will close for the holidays. The principal, Stephanie Puiri understands that their preschool facility will be taken over as the administration centre for tennis during the Pacific Mini Games. There has as yet been no confirmation of how it will be used. The grounds of the preschool facility adjoin the new tennis courts and are conveniently placed to house the technical officers in charge of the PMG tennis programme. The children will be able to return to their playground after the Games end on October 2.
