Free passes for outer islanders and volunteers

Outer islanders coming for the Maeva Nui celebration will be allocated some free passes to the Pacific Mini Games.
Approximately 20 passes will be given to each of the tere party leaders and they can decide who gets to go and watch an event.
Details are still being ironed out with the ticketing committee as there will also be other FOC (free of charge) passes that will be part of the volunteer packs.
These passes are over and above of the passes that will be part of volunteer packs.
They are restricted to the open areas at the Tereora National Stadium, soon to be renamed the Bank of Cook Islands Stadium, and the Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) stadium in Matavera.
Already the adopt-a-country schools have access with their teachers to venues that their countries will appear at. This should continue in the vein of the World Youth Netball Competition.
The manager for human resources and volunteer team management, Ngarangi Tangaroa, reported that there are plenty of volunteers registered and accredited. The team has now started the laborious job of allocating human resources to the games venues.
She is waiting on team managers to advise her of their current volunteer status and their future needs for the games.
