Mt Gravatt closed off season 2009 with their Presentation night at Mt Gravatt Bowls club on Friday Night, in a count dominated by Nathan Gilliland, Andrew Scott, Adam Tarrant and Mike Hamill.
Gilliland finally won out with 122 votes – polling in 21 out of 24 games in a season which included the Zane Taylor Medal from the State game versus Tasmania, the Syd Guildford Trophy, The Grogan Medal, Velocity Cup team of the Year and all capped off with the Jim Fletcher Medal, not to mention he was Mt Gravatts leading goalkicker with 48 as well. Gilliland needed a wheelbarrow to get his wares home. It was an outstanding personal performance from the boy from Euroa.
