Many people have seen him refereeing for different games, walking around the Complex or in town, helping out with the Yap Games 2012 or just hanging out. Many people, however, don’t realize that he’s Keitani Graham, one of the FSM’s renowned athletes.
Keitani came to Yap to help out with the Yap Games 2012. On the opening day of the Games, he refereed for the debut of the Wrestling tournament—where he was also introduced to the present crowd, much to the awe of the competitors and audience. He also refereed and helped out with numerous other games, including basketball and soccer.
While he was still in Yap, he found out at the last minute that he’ll be going with the FSM delegation, along with our very own Larry Uwelur—to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. By the invitation of the host nation, he’ll be competing in Greco-Roman wrestling, 84kg class, in the Olympics, which will be held from July 27 – August 12. He left on the Tuesday night flight to prepare for the upcoming Olympics.
Yap wishes Keitani good luck with the Olympics, and a big “Kinisou Chapur” for helping out with the Yap Games 2012!
