This tournament aims to give players in the Year 7-8 age group a tournament experience. Enjoy playing games against teams from schools around our region and bond as a team.

Registration |
Register on our website by 22 May 2020. Please enter early to avoid disappointment as grades may fill up earlier. Invitational teams may be used to balance out grades. |
Payment |
$50 per team is due by 22 May 2020. Invoices provided on request |
Games |
12 minutes each way with 1 minute half time. |
Draw |
Will be published on our website, emailed to team contacts and displayed on noticeboard at the courts. Teams will have a minimum of three games. Finals will be held for each grade. |
Rules & Injury Time |
International netball rules apply. If an injury occurs during match play, 30 seconds is allowed to replace the injured player (who must leave the court) but no injury time is taken. Two boys are allowed on court at one time, however only one boy in each goal circle is allowed. |
Results |
Draws are allowed in pool play. No draws in cross-section play (play to continue until one team 2 goals ahead). At the end of section play if any teams have equal points, the winner will be decided firstly by goals FOR and AGAINST and then if required by highest aggregate (goals FOR). All decisions made by the tournament officials will be final. |
Prizegiving |
Prizegiving will be held at the conclusion of the finals. |
Scorer/Timekeeper |
Teams are each to provide a scorer/timekeeper. Scorers shall stand together on the sideline and the scorecard will act as the official score for the game. Games will be played to the bell/hooter. |
Umpires |
Teams must provide their own umpire. Umpires are asked to collect the scorecard from the registration office prior to the game. NHV will coordinate neutral umpires for final matches. |
Warm-up |
There will be court spaces available throughout the day. Copies of the NetballSmart tournament warmup are available at the office. |
Parking |
There is plenty of parking on nearby streets. Be aware of restricted time areas. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle. |
First Aid |
Players and officials take place at their own risk. Teams are to bring their own first aid supplies. Ice is available in the kitchen. |
Shelter |
Teams are welcome to use the canteen area in our pavilion. Please leave this in tidy condition. |
Off-site food/drinks |
There is a Café located in the Walter Nash Centre and another at the Fraser Park complex on Taita Drive. A bakery and BP station at the Taita Shops sell hot drinks and food. |
On-site food/drinks |
EFTPOS is available for the BBQ and the purchase of drinks & snacks from the office. Water may be refilled at the tub in the women’s changing room, or in the kitchen. |

A ball pump is available at the registration office |
