AFL ILLAWARRA

The NSW/ACT U18 National Team of 24 includes the some of the states best female AFL talent.  With strong representation from the Canberra, Wagga and Riverina areas, the selection of 8 Illawarra based players demonstrates the dedication and committment of our girls. 

Representing the State whilst a huge honour if also very costly with each player having to personally contribute $1000 towards costs. 

The 2011 NSW/ACT U18 YG Team of 24 to travel to the Gold Coast for the National Championships has been announced.

The train on squad has been announced for the 2^nd National Youth Girls Titles to be held on the Gold Coast in September....

Hosted at Figtree Oval, a totally awesome day for Youth Girls AFL.  Glorious weather and some absolutely fantastic football made for a great days outing for the large crowd that attended the Annual YG Interstate Challenge.

Unfortunately due to the bad weather conditions the planned trip to the Central Coast 18/6/11 has now been postponed.

Also due to the weather tonights (15/6/11) planned additional session is also cancelled.

Please note the next NSW YG Rep training session will be at 6pm at NDP Monday 20/6/11.

Todays 4pm training session at NDP is cancelled as the grounds are closed due to the wet weather.  Please be advised an additional training session will occur at NDP 6pm Wedndesday 15/6/11.

Sorry Girls Rep training is cancelled tonight due to NDP being closed because of the rain.  Training resumes 6pm next Monday 6/6/11.  See you all then,

The final NSW YG Rep team  trial was conducted on Monday 16/5/11 to select the NSW YG AFL Squad to play in the Annual Interstate Challenge against ACT, at Figtree Oval, Figtree Saturday 2nd July 2011.

To celebrate International Womens Day, the AFL NSW/ACT hosted a seven's tournament at the Sydney Olympic Site at Homebush. This year there was the inaugural Seven's tournament. Three Youth Girls teams participated from the Illawarra Region.
