Annual Meeting
At the 2011Annual Meeting of the North Central Football League all clubs voted in favor of changing the governance of the league from a Delegates system to that of a Board of Management.
Retiring President Leon Holt, said it was a huge but important step the league was taking, but said that under a Board structure the league would become a more professional league. The league has advanced a long way in the past few years, with the appointment of a General Manager and now with the appointment of the 7 man Board.
Under the newly elected Board, Shane Swanton fills the roll of Interim Chairman and having Kevin Anderson as his deputy.
Other Members elected to the first North Central Football League will be Rob Williams, Shane Burke, all the above were members of the executive in 2010. New members who were nominated from clubs were Former league President, Kelvin Clark, Dennis O’Connor and Dean Perryman, all members have vast experience in different fields which will form a very strong leadership group for the North Central Football League.
The new leadership group will be meeting in the near future to set their agenda for the league going forward, which will involve the introduction of portfolio’s for all members who will then work in conjunction with the General Manager.
Various other issues were dealt with at the AGM which included the selection of the Donald Football Club as the host of the 2011 ”Feeny Medal” and also the Worksafe Country Championship match against the Mallee Football League in May of 2011.
