FIBA 33 WILL BE ANOTHER ATTRACTION FOR DYS 30TH ANNIVERSARY

FIBA 33 will be one of the main attraction on Saturday, August 13, 2010 at the Civic Center Basketball Court for the Division of Youth Services 30th Year Anniversary and Youth Leadership Month. The day will kick off with a Parade which will start from Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium heading south to the Civic Center Basketball. There will be a lot of entertainments happening on this one day event. DYS partnering government agancies will also be participating on this event by having a display.

Aside from the dancing and other entertainment the 3 on 3 basketball will start a 9:30am right after the Parade and this will last up to 5pm according to Abner Venus the coordinator of FIBA 33. Because of the good turn out at the SAFE Jamboree and the Philippine Independence Day "Pistang Pinoy" which was headed by Bong Malasarte and the UFO we have decided to have this 3 on 3 basketball tournament as one of our main attraction.

This August 13, 2011 event will be the sloser of the DYS events since July is Youth Leadership Month which a Proclamation will take place by the frist week of July followed by the 2011 Summer Sports Camp which will be on July 11 to 22 and the second part of the event will be the Summer Arts & Crafts Camp which will be on August 1 to the 12 and then on August 13th all the Youth Nominees coming from the schools and other Youth and Sports Organization will be recognized during the Anniversary Celebration.

We will be having three different divisions for the 3 on 3 basketball tournament and they are as follows: 17 to 15 age group, 14 to 10 age group and the family division with mother, father, & a child. This 3 on 3 will be FREE of CHARGE and we will award a trophy for each division champions. This will be on a first come first serve basis.
