Ol'Aces & FMI / PTI Improves standings in the 2007

Games results for October 15, 2007 in the Mens Islandwide 2007 Budweiser Cup. In the curtain raiser of the evening Ol'Aces defeated Team Proa 113-101. Ol'Aces was just all over Team Proa. Team Proa is a mixture of veterans and young players and some players playing for this team are rookies in the Budweiser Cup. Ol'Aces is a different story. They are veterans and had been playing together for over five years now and their team chemistry really blends when a win is needed. Ol'Aces is one of the team that the crowd would like to watch since they have players like Abong Camacho, his older brother Peter Camacho, and with playing coach Elias Rangamar orchestrating the offensive attrack this team is exciting to watch. Peter Camacho lead the scoring attack for Ol'Aces with 23-points while Abong had 17-points. Syl Teregeyo lead Team Proa with 25-points.

In the second game of the evening the Junior Nationals suffered their first loss of the season to FMI/PTI. It was a very good match up for the two teams and it was a see saw battle from the beginning of the game up to the last four minutes. The young future stars of the CNMI gave their best shot but in the end it was all about experience. FMI/PTI consist of players from the Filipino League and they were selected as All Stars. FMI/PTI bounced back from their last game loss to Andy Nepail team Bombers. FMI/PTI is considered as one of the top teams in this 2007 Budweiser Cup Basketball League but they still have to prove this if they could  defeat the likes of Ol'Aces, Rock Steady, & Suns. Jericho Cruz who is probably the best young cager in the CNMI lead the Junior Nationals with 42-points almost half of the teams total scored points. Banjo Basila lead FMI/PTI with 20-points followed by Randy Sancianco with 17-points. Final score 104-90 FMI/PTI over Junior Nationals.
