Ngchesar State wins the first game of the 2006 Belau Games in the event of Basketball against Team Ngaremlengui State. The official score was 78 points for Ngchesar and 64 for Ngeremlengui. The Basketball Event started earlier due to the many teams that have registered in the event. There are at least four games conducted every weekday at the Gym beginning at 3:00pm. The games will continue throughout the week and will conclude with the Championship game on the 15th of March.
