2008 PNOC Sports Award Banquet: Sports & Olympism
The Palau Basketball Federation honors its top athletes, coach, volunteer, officials and sponsors at the 2008 PNOC Sports Award Banquet held at the Palau Pacific Resort on 16th April 2008. Awardees were selected based on a vigorous selection process with specific criteria pertaining to each category. Awardees include Wallace Rikrik, Male Athlete; Sweety Kalbesang, Female Athlete; Logan Ngiriou, Volunteer; Tito Ringang, Coach of the Year; Jubilee Kuartei, Technical Official; and Joan Mikel, Table Official. In the category of sponsors, all businesses, organizations, and government bodies were all recognized for their continued support and assistance towards the development and continuation of basketball in Palau. These include Shell Palau, Corporate Sponsor of the Year; Rudimch Enterprises; Surangel & Sons; STUN Program (Stop Tobacco Use Now); and Koror State Government.
