Bulls, Surangel Stars gun for solo lead in FBL

Contenders Ilocandia Bulls and Surangel Stars battle for solo leadership in the team standings when they collide this Sunday in the resumption of the 2013 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Both teams are sporting an identical 2-0 win-loss record and will take separate course after their 2 p.m. encounter. The Bulls will again rely on Joeger Supnet, Raul Osias, Jun Villena, Jhun-Jhun Villena and Ryan Cacho while Surangel Stars will have Arnold Undecimo, rookie sensation Rodel Flores, Bong Gayongorza, Ryan Tayag, Sib Reyes, Melvin Parrinas and Dennis Demate.

On the other hand, PRA Choppers aim to barged into the winning column when they meet the Jaguars in the second game at 12:30 p.m. PRA Choppers will rely on Jojo Servantes, Erwin Gonzalgo, Bon-Bon Pramo, Eric Dedeles, JR Grapa, Nelson Dupalco and team captain Rey Potot as the Jaguars will have Morris Apresto, Ernie Bautista, Demar Mondragon, Renato Cayetano, Atong Ogana and Norvert Nova.

In other geames, FR Spoilers will meet the Jr. Nationals in the opener at 11 a.m. while Western Union will face Liquid Skyy in the main game at 3:30 p.m.

Games are supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF). This year’s FBL League is supported by ATT Bar and Restaurant, HE Automotive, Palasia Hotel, Palau Royal Resort, FR Construction, Engrs.
