U15 Tryout Competition Boys & Girls
There were 50+ young kids who attended the tryout competition. Boys were up to 30+ and 20's for young girls. Out of 50's young kids Mr Aireti and Eretia has been elected who are the most competitive , talented and potential during the selection process. According to the selection criterior NBDO marks the kids on their arms displaying different numbers in order to identify easily.
Skills
NBDO provide a fundamental skills for a tryout competition such as dribbling, passing, shooting, ballhandling, pivoting, hesitations and lastly conduct games such as 3on3, 4on4 and 5on5 offensive and defensive. Each clubs were being informed about the session who are assisting NBDO in running the tryout.
The same time tryout conducted as well the selection for the U15 teams for both boys and girls has also been elected for the upcoming Junior Secondary Schools Basketball Championship in August.
The Kiribati Basketball Federation are working hard with the NBDO in certain areas to seek more opportinuty in future for young athletes.
