The Western Region Football League is seeking a number of volunteers to join our Media Team in season 2015.
The WRFL Media Team is a dedicated group of volunteers that help produce the league's football record, radio broadcast, social media and website coverage.
Gain practical, hands on experience as you hone in on your writing and interviewing skills each week in the western suburbs’ premier sporting competition.
There are a number of positions available this season, including:
Print: Have your name immortalized in print each week as you produce match reports, previews and feature articles in the WRFL Footy Record.
Website: Have your work read by a huge following on our WRFL website www.wrfl.asn.au as a writer or columnist.
Radio: Learn all there is to know about the airwaves with our Match of the Day broadcast team on 88.9 WYN FM.
Social Media: Become a match-day guru, producing live Game Day updates through Twitter and Facebook.
Photography: Capture all the action from our senior and junior competitions each weekend as an official match-day photographer.
A great opportunity for anyone wanting to get their foot in the industry and get involved in grass-roots football.
If you can write, have a passion for football and would like to build up a portfolio of published work, please email the league’s Media and Communications Officer Kirstie Fitzgerald at k.fitzgerald@wrfl.asn.au providing a brief summary of your experience and examples of work.
