The Sunshine Heights Football Club is seeking a number of players to join its senior team in 2015.
With club legend Robbie Gretto appointed as the new senior coach, Club President Vince Sposato says the Dragons are looking for more fresh faces to join its ranks.
“This is a great opportunity for players to come down to the club and play senior football this year.
“We’ve been a bit light on the training track over the pre-season, as a lot of players are still in holiday mode, so we are always looking for more players to join up and get involved.”
In its third week of pre-season training, the Dragons have been sweating it out both on and off the track, with Boxercise classes part of the new training regime.
“The boys have been training three times a week, with football skills taken on Monday and Thursday nights and Boxercise training on Tuesdays,” Sposato said.
“We’ve had a really great reception from the players who come down to Boxercise, as it keeps them fit and breaks up the training schedule.”
With cricket season still in full swing, the Dragons will utilise Bon Thomas Reserve, located on Quinn St, Deer Park as its training headquarters for the next month.
Any players wishing to get involved in the club and looking to develop their skills are asked to contact Vince on 0414 352 904 or Robert Gretto on 0420 229 082.
Sunshine Heights is also seeking a number of junior players to join up in season 2015. For more information on the club’s junior teams, please call Ren Oliveri on 0419-150-542
