DIVISION ONE
Albion:
Reece Hegarty is returning to the Cats this season after spending time in the Kyabram District Football Netball League with the Rushworth Football Club. The 27-year-old is sure to be a welcomed return after playing three seasons with Albion in 2010-2012.
Altona:
It’s a case of one in, and one out for the Vikings this week as they welcome 25-year-old Dale Williamson to pull on the purple and gold, while out goes young Braxton Conroy to the VAFA.
Deer Park:
Great to see young Scott Greenhough has been approved to continue to play for Collingwood in the VFL this season. Suiting up with Collingwood in 2013, Greenhough will be pushing to add more game time to his seven VFL matches last season.
Spotswood:
There’s been a bit of movement at McLean Reserve this week with an influx of fresh faces joining the green and gold army. In comes 23-year-old Jared Warmington (VAFA), as well as 21-year-old Kyle Smillie (NFL), Nathan Terry (SFL) and Matthew Taylor (GDFL). Out goes James Monahan to Williamstown CYMS and James Beha to Heyfield FNC.
Port Colts:
22-year-old Billy Walter will call JL Murphy Reserve home this season as he comes in from EDFL’s Hadfield Football Club. Out goes eight year veteran Josh Murphy to the Southern Football League’s St.Kilda City as well as Justin Taylor who returns to the EDFL in 2015, this time to suit up with Pascoe Vale. Great to hear Colts pair Scott Clarke and Chris Prowse have been approved to continue to play in the VFL with Port Melbourne.
Werribee Districts:
Looking for new opportunities this season are Stephen Plumridge (VAFA) and David Leon (BFNL) who are awaiting their clearance request to move the Tigers. 22-year-old Plumridge is all too familiar with Werribee Districts, having played senior football with the club in the VAFA, while 25-year-old Leon will return to the WRFL after playing junior football with Hoppers Crossing.
DIVISION TWO
Caroline Springs:
The Lakers will lose two members this week with Anthony Brook departing to Albanvale and Lachlan Jamieson who has put in a request to go to the Mackay Magpies. Playing five seasons with the Lakers, Brook will be surrounded be familiar faces at Robert Bruce Reserve having played his junor football with the club, while Jamieson will return to AFL Mackay having previously played with the Eastern Swans.
Wyndhamvale:
The Falcons look to have picked up a handy little recruit in 23-year-old Callum Laurie-Rhodes who is awaiting his clearance from the Ellinbank Football Club.
Yarraville Seddon Eagles:
Making the switch to the country’s east coast this season is 25-year-old Ryan Ebert who is departing the WAAFL’s Ocean Ridge Football Club to suit up with the Eagles in 2015.
DIVISION THREE
Braybrook:
Pennell Reserve has been a bee hive this week, with three new inclusions to the red and black army. In comes Ray Young from the NFL’s Fitzroy Stars, Jason Cousins from the VAFA’s Parkside FC and Nathan Smith who is coming across from the NFL’s Reservoir Football Club. Out goes 29-year-old Doug Bryant who will play for Leitchville Gunbower FC in the Heathcote Districts FL.
Laverton:
Good news at Laverton this week with another two additions to its ranks. In comes at 20-year-old Marco La Barbera from the Altona Juniors Football Club as well as 21-year-old Lachlan Driscoll from the Southern Football League’s Hallam Football Club.
Sanctuary Lakes:
The Sharks have picked up one new face this week, with the inclusion of Jake Camilleri switching over from Manor Lakes, while out goes Aaron Driver who heads to fellow Division Three club Wyndham Suns.
Wyndham Suns:
It’s been a busy week for the Suns, with the addition of five new players to the side. In comes Sanctuary Lakes duo Dustyn Nixon and Jamie Southgate, Wyndhamvale’s David Gamble, Hoppers Crossing’s Josh Lee and 20-year-old Jayden Cott from the RDFL’s Rockbank Football Club.
