ALTONA JUNIORS
2014 was a great year for the Altona Juniors Football Club, with it’s Under 12B team taking home the Premiership with a 27-point win over Albion.
Holding a number of pre-Christmas skills session for its older sides, new Altona Juniors President Vito Rubino says the Vikings are ready to back up last season with a bigger and better 2015.
Teams fielding in 2015:
We’re fielding 9 teams this season.
How has the pre-season been?
The off season gave everyone a chance to have a rest from footy and enjoy summer sports and activities. Before Christmas we had the opportunity to run four Skills Sessions for our Under 13s, 14s, 15s and 16s. Run by Vinnie Turcinovich, over 50 boys participated, working on improving their skills and having fun.
What are your expectations for the new season?
We expect to have a fantastic year, with many new players joining our club. The coaches are working towards improving the players’ skills and fitness. We expect to have a number of teams playing finals this year on the back of a very good season last year.
Are there any coaching changes this season?
This season there has been numerous new committee members come on board, as well as the appointment of our new club president.

We have a Ladies Night planned for Friday 8th of May. A chance for the mums to get together and celebrate before Mother’s Day. The event will be held at the Altona RSL. Details will be available on our website at www.altonajuniorfootballclub.com
