MASSIVE CROWDS AT PNG GAMES BASKETBALL
Days 2 & 3 of the PNG Games Basketball Competition have seen Massive crowds in excess of 2,000 people attend the courts at Murray Barracks. This has quite an atmosphere for the very best players of PNG Basketball to display their skills in.
Although challenging, the tournament has been progressing well with strong support from the Technical Officials. “These guys are doing a great job” said NBDO Mr. Ronnie Mea, “It’s very hot out there on the court and with the added crowd there is a lot of pressure on these officials, but they are still putting in their best efforts.”
The Basketball Tournament is already leading as recording the highest spectator numbers of the PNG Games and with matches expected to continue until Friday 27th November when the finals will be played, there is little doubt that the crowds will continue to grow.
