The Modbury Hawks provide an inclusive and safe environment for players of all ages and abilities. This is exemplified by the recent under 7s football carnival where a fundraiser was held to raise money for SIDS & Kids South Australia, in recognition of one of the player’s siblings tragically losing their life.
With only a few days’ lead time into the event, Modbury were able to raise several hundred dollars and demonstrate how even at a young age, the culture created within football clubs allows people to come together to support their football family.
As reward for their community support, eight Modbury JFC club members were yesterday treated to an exclusive half-day visit at Port Adelaide’s Alberton Oval and Adelaide Oval facilities. This included a tour of the Power HQ, multiple presentations led by senior coach Ken Hinkley and his coaching staff, sitting in on a team meetings and observing the Power squad train ahead of the most recent Showdown clash against the Crows.
