QBL All Star Tour
It is with a great deal of disappointment that I write to advise that Basketball Queensland have just been advised by Basketball Australia that the Chinese promoter, Atlas Sports, has cancelled the tournament in which the QBL All Stars were to compete. We were advised that this was due to “withdrawal of the sponsors’ funds.”
This is certainly disappointing to all concerned and BQ regret the disappointment that the coaches and players who had been advised of their selection in this team must be feeling.
Whilst this cancellation is clearly out of our control all we can do is apologise for the inconvenience. BQ have, however, put Basketball Australia on notice that we should be given first option on any such tours on the future.
