25th Season set to explode
2010 marks a defining moment in the history of Basketball in Queensland, with the 25th season of the QBL set to tip-off in April 2010. Nominations for the 2010 QBL closed last week with all 14 Associations from 2009 re-nominating. This includes Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Maroochydore, Caboolture, Northside, Brisbane, South West, Gold Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba.
The QBL Annual Meeting was also a success over the weekend, with representatives from all 14 Associations coming together to discuss the 2010 season. The first game of the 2010 season will tip-off on Sat April 24th with the Cairns Marlins Men and Gladstone Power Women attempting to defend their titles. Further information regarding the structure of the competition and an official draw will be available in the coming weeks.
