QBL Power Rankings Week 9

“3 point shooters”

RAY ALLEN

A shot so pretty that they had to call the character he played in “He got Game” JESUS.

     1.  Cairns

Knocking off the Coast is a big scalp for this young group, they are putting the pressure on.

     2.  Mackay

Not to be outdone they had some solid wins, Martin’s Boomers commitments will hurt the cohesion but he will find his place in this group soon enough

Reggie Miller

Just when you thought you could stick a fork in him, Reggie would torture the doubters (hello Knicks fans)

     3.  Gold Coast

Can an undefeated team be more impressive the week they lose? Did not think they could compete with the Townsville’s of this league without Gibson, but McGregor’s stat line for the weekend was so impressive I think he thought I was guarding him.

     4.  Maroochydore

Winless to undefeated for the fortnight??? (technically they haven’t lost yet!) What can’t the V-dog do? Undefeated and he helped shift my TV!

     5.  Rockhampton

Doing what they do, welcome back Stevie!

     6.  Ipswich

55-19. That was the half time score vs the Pirates. These guys are huge if they get you in a half court game.

Jason Kidd

Came into the league ugly and managed to grind out a career leaving him 3rd all time in 3’s

     7.  Bundaberg

Some huge wins last weekend demonstrating a whole lot of ‘clutch gene’ but then ran into the central swing. A very solid fortnight all things considered.

     8.  Northside

Surviving the Bubbles injury with some good wins, probably needed the Bundy game.

John Starks

As that Knicks fan, Starks was capable of anything, you just never knew which John you were getting

     9.  Townsville

This team should NOT lose to GC at home without Gibson. Period. They are not rising to the challenges that will face them if they want to win it all.

     10.  Gladstone

This team is starting to make some noise, needed to get the Wizards game, you won’t get a better chance than that

     11. Brisbane

2 very bad losses for the young Caps has brought them back to earth with a thud.

Rajon Rondo

Look away now…

     12.  Caboolture

2 losses to 2 teams they need to be able to get, not a whole lot of winnable games out there

     13.  Toowoomba

Definitely showing signs against everyone but not getting over the line. The Maroochydore result will be huge for them…

     14.  South West

0-4 for the fortnight means I can’t put my boys anywhere but last. Injuries to Broom and Teys crippled their last weekend but this group has too much pride to lay down. MUST show signs with 2 big games coming up.
