WARATAH LEAGUE COACH OF THE YEAR TO COACH CLIPPERS’ WOMEN

2011 Waratah League Coach of the Year, Nathan Arousi has been appointed as head coach of the Maroochy RSL Clippers Ladies for the 2012 season. Nathan coached Queanbeyan to success in the Waratah League in 2011 after moving from Victoria where he coach successfully with Hawthorn Basketball in the Big V League and was a highly respected coach in the Victorian National Intensive Training Program.

Bill Jeffers, from Basketball Victoria said,” Nathan was one of our best NITP coaches who continually tried to improve his coaching techniques for the benefit of players he has in his programs. Nathan is the type of coach who players really want to play for”.

Nathan also played top level basketball having played a number of seasons in the strong SEABL competition.

Nathan is the current coach of the ACT Under 20 Woman’s team which will contest the Under 20 National Championships in February.

Nathan is a civil engineer and is moving to the Sunshine Coast for a two year work project.

It is very timely to have a coach like Nathan come to the Clippers program with the Lady Clippers having a number of younger development players in their squad.
