Mountaineers looking to Wynn

The Clive Berghofer Toowoomba Mountaineers would like to announce that former East Carolina Pirate, Chad Wynn, has agreed to terms and has signed with the club for the 2012 season.

The 6 foot 10” Centre is a former team mate of current Mountaineer import James Legan. As the two look to re-establish their combination for the upcoming QBL season.

“Chad is a great pick up for us and already has that history with James, during there College Years in the NCAA. He will be an enforcer for us inside the paint.”

“Last week the Mountaineers announced that import Rashad Chase would not be returning to the club in 2012. “This was a huge loss for us. We needed to fill the void with Rashad not being there.

Chad will make people think about there shot, he is a big guy!.”

The team is well into pre-season training, with 20+ turning up each night. “The club will be a lot deeper than we were in 2011. It makes us more competitive as the season progresses.

All we need to do now is finalise our discussions with James (Legan). The players can then do there business on the court”.
