Mackay Basketball is very pleased to announce that Global Product Search will continue on as the Meteorettes exclusive naming rights sponsor for the 2012 Queensland Basketball League season.

Now into its second year, the Meteorettes naming rights partnership with Global Product Search is sure to lay a strong foundation for what is shaping as another successful QBL season.

The Global Product Search Meteorettes 2011 QBL campaign ended with a tough semi-final loss to the Bundaberg Bears and Mackay Basketball General Manager Joel Khau said the team has already begun pre-season preparations with the goal of going two steps further in 2012.

"Our players actually started scrimmaging back in December and are currently a week into their pre-season conditioning program which is a reflection of their commitment this season," Khalu said.

"There is definitely a renewed focus within the group and everybody has the mindset of winning a QBL title."

"I know Head Coach Wade (Rebetzke) has the girls pushing themselves physically to make sure they come into the season in optimum shape."

Khalu also recognised the commitment of Global Product Search to the team as they continue to move forward.

"Global Product Search are a local, family business that provides tremendous support to our club," Khalu added.

"Every QBL home game we have at the Crater at Candlestick Park the Global Product Search corporate box is definitely one of the loudest in the building and that dedication is unmatched throughout the league."

The Global Product Search Meteorettes will be announcing 2012 player signings throughout the coming weeks.
