Young UK journalists coming to cover games
Young UK journalists coming to cover games
Among the media people who will soon be arriving to cover the Pacific Mini Games are four adults and eight young people aged 15 or 16 from Manchester, England.
They are members of S2R – Supporters to Reporters – a media project started in 2007 to inspire youngsters to get involved in sports reporting, turning kids from supporters into reporters.
The people involved create audio and video programmes on a huge range of sporting events in Britain for the world to access. Their work is published on the website www.radiowaves.co.uk.
The young journalists get the chance to interview sporting heroes and ask the questions that the Radiowaves community wants answeried.
Reporters get the chance to:
• Meet and learn from sporting media professionals.
• Work alongside journalists at matches.
• Experience the real-life world of sports reporting.
• Connect with local radio and TV companies for training.
The reporters coming to the Cook Islands include:

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
