New Zealand vs Scotland

New Zealand really needed the breaks after a feisty performance by the Scottish team in today’s game at the Telecom Stadium. Despite a high score to New Zealand (78-24), Scotland made the NZers work hard to retain the ball and get it to their goal circle. That’s all they really needed do with Paula Griffin and Alanah Cassidy taking accurate shots at the goal, ably supported by the Rasmussen-Cullen combination in the third quarter. Scotland kept the goal shooting down to a minimum for New Zealand with the middle quarters score of 30-15 which really indicated when Scotland was putting on the pressure.
