Local Referee Qualifies for VJBL Panel
A big congratulations goes to local referee & Junior Domestic refs' supervisor Nick Valenta who has qualified as part of the referee panel for the 2015 Victorian Junior Basketball League.
Since becoming and A grade referee, nick has worked hard to develop his knowledge of the game and also acted as a mentor to younger referees.
Like players who attend try-outs for elite program selection, Nick attended a try-out in November that tested both his knowledge of the rules of the game and his level of fitness.
