A Grade: Euston 66 def Nangiloc 12.
With tall shooters on the Euston side the Nangiloc defenders
struggled to shut them down. Best Players: Euston â Bec Harvey, Sally Lynch,
Maria Absolom. Nangiloc â Bridie Old, Bree Freckleton, Nikki Lambert
B Grade: Nangiloc 23 def Euston 14.
Nangilocâs accurate shooting in the second quarter, set them
up for a great win. Best Players: Nangiloc â Kristi Goldup, Sharon McPhee,
Jordan Geddes. Euston â Marilyn Fordham, Joanne Roberts, Caitlyn Burkinshaw.
Juniors: Euston 25 def Nangiloc 6
Euston had an early lead, which they held for the whole
game. Unfortunately in the second quarter there was an injury to a Euston
player that required the ambulance. Best Players: Euston â Laura Collett,
Melinda McPhee, Gabby Jenkins. Nangiloc â Casey Foster, Carrie Hammet, Kirsten
Neyland.
Game 2 â Cardross Vs Meringur
A Grade: No Game
B Grade: Cardross defeat Meringur
Meringur started well with only 6 on the court but Cardross
fought back strongly to take control with a solid centre court play to win by
15. Bets players: Cardross â Nikky McCarthy, Kylie Shaw, Chantelle
Allford. Meringur â Jolene Finch,
Caitlyn Croft, Anita Hawkins.
Juniors: Cardross 20 def Meringur 10.
Meringur started the game on fire. Cardross pegged them back and the game was
goal for goal until Cardross picked up speed and went away with the game. Best
Players: Cardross â Maddie Tickle, Ebony Richardson, Nicole Deakin. Meringur â
Katrina Simmons, Bianka Simmons, Hush Grewal
Game 3 - Werrimull Vs Bambill
A Grade: Bambill 33 def Werrimull 26
A very close game for the first half with teams going goal
for goal and the scores level at half time. Bambill managed to gain a slight
lead heading into the last quarter and continued to gain momentum to run out
eventual winners in a very tightly contested match. Best Players: Bambill â
Ellen Brewster, Zoe Walkenhorst, Bianca Bunney. Werrimull â Leanne Wright,
Michelle Templeton, Fiona Pike.
B Grade: Bambill 38 def Werrimull 19
Bambill started strongly and continued to gain momentum
against a new look Werrimull outfit. Werrimull fought hard but were unable to
compete with a stronger Bambill team. Best Players: Bambill Angela Farley,
Tammy Warn, Lauren Bowen. Werrimull â Kylie Hutchins, Alana Rowe, Lauren
Morris.
Juniors: Werrimull 19 def Bambill 16
Another very close contest saw both teams fighting hard to
take home the four points. Werrimull took an early lead and Bambill fought hard
in the last quarter but were unable to make up the difference. Best Players:
Werrimull â Brittany Carter, Carlie Symes, Claire Morris. Bambill â Kayla
Matthews, Atalia Haase, Eliza Boulton.
