May long weekend 2016 will see the inaugural National Championships played between British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Atlantic* representative teams for both men and women.
Vancouver has been named as the host city for this inaugural event. Supported by AFL Canada at a soon to be announced premier field location, this representative tournament featuring the best Canadian players from across Canada will give our National Team coaching staff an opportunity to see the top talent in the country ahead of selecting the 49th Parallel Cup teams, with games played over two days.
To help select the provincial teams, the National team coaching staff in each province will be holding training camps in February. These training camps will put players through theory, fitness and skills testing, working with our national team coaches. Players wanting to represent Team Canada are strongly encouraged to attend.
