Open Comp Winners 2020
The OG Dogs and the Bulldogs are the men & women premiers for the 2019/20 SHBA Open competition.
The mens game was a close tussel throughout most of the play with the OG Dogs taking control late in the game to win 50 - 44. After the half time break the Bricklayers jumped out to a 15 point lead with 12 minutes to go then a well timed time out changed the momentum swing in favour of the OG Dogs. James Morrison was in great form for the OG Dogs scoring 13 points & Alex Erlandson played his always consistent game scoring 17. Best players for the Bricklayers were Nyawi Moore 10 points and Lochie Gardner 14 points.
The womens game also was a tight contest with the Bulldogs team of 4 players taking back the lead in the final minute of the game and running out winners 54 to 50. For the Bulldogs Laura Anderson top scored with 22 and Tess Denham 13. Julie Wardle was the top scorer for the Saints with 22 points and was well supported by Kara Lierich with 12 points.
