SEMI FINALS

Under 18

The #1 seed Golden Boys(6 – 0) will match up against the #4 seed, Benque Eagles(1 – 5) in the first semi-final match-up. In their first game of the regular season, Golden Boys handily defeated Benque Eagles by the score of 43 – 25. After Benque Eagles added a few big men to their roster, the second game was a thriller, as Golden Boys narrowly edged Benque Eagles, 35 – 33.

In the second match-up, the # seed, Rising Stars(4 – 2) will take on the #3 seed Hydro(1 – 5). In the regular season, Rising Stars won both games by a 4 point margin, 40 – 36 and 35 – 31.

 

Under 21

In game 1, the # 1 seed Hydro(6 - 1) will take on Benque Eagles(4 – 3), who is entering the playoffs at the #4 spot in the standings. The format for the regular season in this division, was a single round robin, where Hydro defeated Benque Eagles 48 – 37.

In the second match-up, the #2 seed Flames(6 – 1) will take on the #3 seed Belize Bank Bombers(5 – 2), where these 2 teams played their game the weekend before the start of the playoffs, where Flames edges Belize Bank Bombers 58 – 51, in a hotly contested game.

 

Seniors

The undefeated Hydro E-3(6 - 1) is prancing into the playoffs as the #1 seed, where they will take on Shell(3 – 3). In their only game in the regular season, Hydro E-3 defeated Shell by the narrowest of margin, 69 – 68, in a hotly contested game. This series surely promises to be one of the best in the tournament, as both teams have a distaste for each other.

In the second semi final match-up, the #2 seed, Western Warriors(3 – 3) will take on the #3 seed and defending champs, BNE Oilers(3 – 3). Western Warriors defeated BNE Oilers 71 – 73 on opening night, as these 2 teams are evenly matched. Both semi finals match-ups in the senior division will be great games.

 

Over 35

In the Over 35 division, defending champs Belmopan(4 – 2) will enter the playoffs with the #1 seed, after starting the season 0 – 2. They will go up against Golden Eagles(1 – 5), who is the #4 seed, and these 2 teams split their 2 regular season games where Golden Eagles won the first game 30 – 27, after which Belmopan won the game held last week, 43 – 40. With both games being decided by 3 points, this match-up will be a battle to see who will represent the Garden City in the Over 35 Finals.

In the second match-up, the #2 seed Mega Foods(4 – 2) will go up against the #3 seed Hydro(3 – 3), to see which team from San Ignacio will try to defend their home turf against a Belmopan based team in the finals. In the first game of this match up, Hydro defeated Mega Foods by the score of 52 – 46, while Mega Foods exacted revenge in their second game, winning 52 – 45. Both of the games in this division promises to be great games.
