NEWS: FFV seeking feedback for 2018 Geelong Region season review

WITH the 2018 football season concluding this coming weekend, Football Federation Victoria (FFV) has commenced the process of reflecting and reviewing areas of the Geelong Region competitions and how they can be improved. In this regard, FFV is committed to ensuring that all current stakeholders are provided a quality football experience year on year.

The FFV Competitions team has been collating feedback and suggestions received throughout the 2018 season on various rules and policies to begin the competition review for the 2019 season and beyond.

At this point, FFV would like to extend the invitation to all FFV Geelong Region member clubs to be involved in the review process.

RULES OF COMPETITION AND REGULATIONS

As per previous seasons, the Rules and Regulations for the various competitions we administer have continued to evolve and develop in an effort to ensure we provide a fair framework for stakeholders to participate within football. Over the coming months FFV will review and re-draft the Rules of Competition to address areas within the documents. This process will be undertaken with consideration given to relevant clauses of the Grievance, Discipline and Tribunal (GDT) By-Law.

PROCESSES

Furthermore, the Competitions Department has noted recurring issues that have arisen throughout the season. They relate not necessarily to Rules of Competition, but to the way certain competitions are administered.

Accordingly, we will be undertaking a comprehensive offseason review on the following processes:

- Fixture Change Requests

- Team Entries

- Player Dispensation Requests

- Community Competition Structures

- Request for Match Investigations

- Other
