Goulburn North East Football Association's change of identity is complete after launching a new logo and website yesterday off the back of its annual meeting on Monday night.

Association president Frank Trimboli said the name change process had been unexpectedly smooth and was delighted to have overseen the incorporation of the word "football" into the title.

The association had been named North Eastern Soccer League from 1971 until last year, but still used its old logo slightly modified last season as well as its old website.

The new association website is www.gnefa.com.au and will use a logo with purple and gold as its main colours.

"It was a bit harder 12 months ago, but everything has fallen into place since," Trimboli said.

"We had great representation here tonight and it shows that the clubs in this competition are being engaged and want to be part of taking this league into the future."

The association's financial report showed turnover of $138 000, up $5000 on the previous season, while recording a surplus of $6978.

"Our operating costs increased a bit because we're doing things in a more professional way," Trimboli said.

"Administration, the website, we're investing the money back in to the competition."

Association board members are elected to two-year terms, with Trimboli set to continue as president, Vince Sagoleo vice-president, Megan Carr secretary, Rob Trevaskis treasurer, Sam Saracino special projects and Eric Bott as a consultant.

The association is aiming to release a separate document for junior rules of competition, similar to the separate men's and women's rules currently available on its website.

Trimboli told the meeting that the separate junior rules would only contain minor changes to the existing senior rules.

The association has also formed a sub-committee for its Country Championships teams, with the concept set to continue this year.
