ANNUAL MEETING TO SORT GOULBURN NORTH EAST FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION’S HANDOVER TO STATE BODY

Goulburn North East Football Association has formally informed clubs of the process where the competition will be handed to Football Federation Victoria.

Formal notice of the association’s annual meeting was sent to its member clubs on Tuesday with a number of special resolutions to be put to members to effect the transfer to FFV. The annual meeting is scheduled for December 17 at The Carrington, Shepparton.

At the meeting, GNEFA will move to transfer its net cash assets to FFV on the condition that funds are only to be used for the benefit of FFV-affiliated clubs (or their players or members) in the Goulburn North East region.

The North East Region Committee, which will consist of a delegate from each member club to act as an advisory committee to FFV on region-specific issues, will access the cash.

The board will also seek authorisation to cease operations and cancel GNEFA’s incorporation.

Clubs were also sent an agreement with FFV outlining how the new administration would work, as well as a copy of the North East Regional Football Committee ByLaw, which would govern the committees functions, memberships and procedures.
