MEN'S DIVISION ONE

TOP SCORERS STILL ACTIVE

Stuart Vance (Shepp South) 22 Andy Rushbury (Shepparton) 14 Duncan Whitlam (Shepparton) 8 John Stokes (Shepp South) 8 Six players (three clubs) 4

PAST MEETINGS

Round six: Shepparton 0 lt United 2 (Justin Kalafatis, Savran) at Rumbalara

Round 14: United 3 d Shepparton 0 due to Shepparton misconduct for fielding a player not listed on the match record.

Score on the day was United 2 (Justin Kalafatis, Georgiou) v Shepparton 5 (Rushbury 3, D Davkovski, Mukasa) at Central Park

Case for United: Joe Perkovic put on a sensational display of goalkeeping against Shepparton South last week, but may need to produce 120 minutes of it for United to get through.

The Blues' performances have improved considerably since the round 14 meeting.

Case for Shepparton: In superb form after dominating against Tatura in the elimination final and has been scoring freely with the likes of Rushbury, Whitlam and Ingham proving too hard to handle.

If the grand final isn't enough motivation to win, avenging the round 14 result will be.

Prediction: Shepparton 5-2

OPEN WOMEN

TOP SCORERS STILL ACTIVE

Maddy McGuffie (Shepp South) 11 Rosemary Scrimizzi (Tatura) 11 Sophie Findlay (Shepp South) 9 Allyson Newton (Shepp United) 9 Holly Dimstas (Shepp United) 8 Mikayla Lia (Tatura) 8

PAST MEETINGS

Round nine: Tatura 0 drew South 0 at Howley Oval

Round 18: South 1 (McGuffie) d Tatura 0 at McEwen Reserve

Case for South: The team's junior girls have a bye this week meaning more depth on the bench and a chance for more rotation of players.

Tatura has not scored against South in its past three meetings.

Case for Tatura: Many of this squad would have played in the 2006 and 2007 preliminary finals where Tatura eliminated South on both occasions.

Has a bit more flexibility in attack than South with the likes of Derya Tanrikulu, Mikayla Lia, Rosemary Scrimizzi and Merve Bolat all capable of playing as forwards.

Prediction: South on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
