MEN'S DIVISION ONE

TOP SCORERS STILL ACTIVE

Stuart Vance (Shepp South) 22 Andrew Rushbury (Shepparton) 14 Spiro Vourgaslis (Tatura) 13 David Turkovic (Tatura) 12 Duncan Whitlam (Shepparton) 9 John Stokes (Shepp South) 7

SHEPPARTON v TATURA PAST MEETINGS:

Round 4: Tatura 5 (Vourgaslis 3, Butler, Turkovic) d Shepparton 0 at Howley Oval

Round 11: Shepparton 1 (Whitlam) d Tatura 0 at Rumbalara

Case for Shepparton: A more experienced team across the park and players with knock-out finals experience. The team best equipped to defend a lead, so scoring first will make it a hot favourite.

Whitlam's finishing and Rushbury's dribbling means Shepparton can turn any attack into a goal.

Case for Tatura: Shepparton has lost both its first finals in the past two years, albeit with the double-chance as a fall-back.

Tatura needs to use its pace to advantage rather than run aimlessly into the wall that will be the Shepparton backline.

Turkovic needs to be prominent in the air to give the Ibises options.

Prediction: Shepparton 1-0

OPEN WOMEN

TOP SCORERS STILL ACTIVE

Maddy McGuffie (Shepp South) 11 Rosemary Scrimizzi (Tatura) 11 Suzan Tanrikulu (Shepparton) 11 Sophie Findlay (Shepp South) 9 Allyson Newton (Shepp United) 9 Holly Dimstas (Shepp United) 8 Mikayla Lia (Tatura) 8

SHEPPARTON v TATURA PAST MEETINGS:

Round 4: Tatura 1 (M Lia) drew Shepparton 1 (Cook) at Howley Oval

Round 11: Shepparton 1 (S Tanrikulu) drew Shepparton 1 (Junor) at Rumbalara

Case for Shepparton: Shepparton has dug out a late goal to save or win a game on numerous occasions this year and is never out of the contest.

Suzan Tanrikulu has goal-scoring prowess and the likes of Jade Hawkes and Dianne Trigila add a physical presence.

Case for Tatura: A number of Tatura players can strike a goal and the Ibises have flexibility in who leads the line.

Tatura bombed out against Shepparton at this stage last year, but has raised its game in crunch finals in the past.

Prediction: Tatura on penalties after another 1-1 draw.
