A late strike from Daniel Nardella has captured back-to-back men's division two premierships for Shepparton South and left Cobram Victory empty handed after the grand final at Tatura Park on Sunday.

A game of few chances seemed headed for extratime before Nardella's moment of inspiration lifted the Southerners to a 1-0 win.

South had put Cobram Victory's goalkeeper under pressure in the first half before an even second period opened up in the latter stages.

Victory tried to counter after Nardella's goal but could not find a way through South's defence, leaving the minor premier to take home the title.

"Victory put on a great fight, we had our chances and the game could have gone either way," South coach Joe Artavilla said.

"In the second half we knew there was going to be one goal in it, thankfully Daniel stepped up and put that goal away for us.

"All the credit goes to the players, they're the ones who put in the hard work."

South's Adrian Giuliani was chaired from the ground after the match, the 37-year-old calling time on his career after three senior and three reserve premierships for the club.

Division two men’s premier: Shepparton South, (back) Jules Tennant, Jake Hauwert, Jordan Montagna, Michael Scarcella (team manager) Adam Perona, Fehmi Sozan, Nick Hand, Irv Hiddleston, Adrian Giulani, Tony Scarcella, (front) Serkan Aktas, Jason Italia, Gino Saracino (co-captain), Daniel Nardella (co-captain) Frank Scarcella (president), Lachlan Baker, Curtis Arthur, Daniel Ciavarella, Korhan Gulec, Drew Hayward and Joe Artavilla (coach).
