Shepparton United is on the hunt for a men's and women's coach for next North Eastern Soccer League season after opening all its positions for applications recently.
Existing coaches at the Blues will have to re-apply for their positions, with men's coach George Traianidis indicating he would attempt to earn another tenure in charge at United.
Traianidis has spent the last two seasons as coach of United's men, taking the team to an elimination final and a preliminary final last season.
United's women completed a three-peat this season, playing coach Megan Carr indicating after this year's grand final she had retired.
United president Shane Harford said while advertising had not previously found the club a wildcard application for a coach, the club was obliged to search.
"The club has operated on a two-year contract with the men's team so that has come to an end with George and we'll readvertise," Harford said.
"We're hoping for some new people to apply, from the (Goulburn Valley) area or not."
In the wake of Melbourne-based coach Gianfranco Impellizzeri leaving Cobram Victory, due to his unavailability for training among other things, Harford would not categorically rule out hearing Melbourne applications for the United job. "We'd have to discuss things like training availability and travel for a coach based far away at a committee level," he said.
