League settles on Cobram for qualifying finals

Shepparton and Cobram Victory can mark the Cobram Showgrounds in their diaries as the venue for this year's North Eastern Soccer League qualifying final.
Venues for all of this season's play-off games bar the elimination final were decided at a club delegates' meeting on Monday night.
The Victory and Reds are runaway leaders in the top two of the league table; either would need an unprecedented run of losing form to sacrifice their spot in the grand final qualifier.
Unlike last season, the qualifying and elimination final rounds will be held on the Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend.
Deakin Reserve hosted qualifying finals last season and is not off the cards as a potential host for the elimination final, along with Mercury Dve, Mooroopna Recreation Reserve and Scott Oval, Cobram.
The preliminary final on September 14 will be at Shepparton's McEwen Reserve.
This year's league best-and-fairest count has also been moved to allow more players to attend the evening.
Last year the medal count was held on the Saturday night before the elimination final, meaning some teams participating in games the next day sent no players.
This year the count will be held on Friday, September 12, with the venue to be confirmed.
The grand final for all divisions will be held at Tatura Park on September 21.
