A one-woman masterclass from Georgia Oudeman gave Cobram Victory a 3-2 win against Shepparton South in women's North Eastern Soccer League at the weekend.
Oudeman was involved in all three goals as Victory came from behind at half-time to win, but still faces an uphill battle to get close to the top four.
Victory's win has moved it to 17 points in fifth place, four clear of sixth-placed Numurkah.
But looking up the table, Victory still trails fourth-placed Tatura by eight points and 16 goals difference.
Oudeman scored twice and was involved in an own-goal to take Victory to its win, two long shots after half-time from almost the centre line reversed a 2-1 deficit.
Victory had opened the scoring, but attempting to defend the lead until half-time came unstuck as South hit back through goals to Maddy McGuffie and Beth Kilmartin.
South remains seventh on 13 points after the loss, behind Numurkah on goal difference after the Knights' loss to Shepparton.
Suzan Tanrikulu was the difference maker for Shepparton as it recorded a third straight win under stand-in coaches Chris Davkovski and Victor Bovalino.
Tanrikulu scored two goals for Shepparton and Samantha McIntosh one, while Jessica Gasparroni was Numurkah's scorer in the 3-1 loss.
Shepparton moved into second place on the ladder with the win on 27 points, one ahead of Cobram on 26 and Tatura on 25.
