Adrian Ingham's date with the North Eastern Soccer League tribunal was postponed last night with the Shepparton player unable to make the commitment.

Representatives of Shepparton Soccer Club were confident as recently as Wednesday that Ingham - brother and Shepparton playing-coach Andy - and president Chris Davkovski would be present to answer any charge laid by the league.

North Eastern Soccer League secretary Sam Saracino said Adrian Ingham was unavailable and the tribunal had been postponed indefinitely.

"In fairness to Adrian the tribunal cannot proceed without him present," Saracino said.

Ingham was set to face the tribunal to answer charges from the league relating to his involvement in Shepparton's grand final victory over Yoogali on September 23.

After being substituted from the field of play during extra-time, Ingham took a penalty to level the scores 6-6 in the shoot-out won 7-6 by Shepparton.

The News understands Ingham was prepared to put off his retirement for a season in order to play on and regain his good name within the soccer community, regardless of any potential penalty handed down by the tribunal.
