Adrian Ingham will front the North Eastern Soccer League tribunal tonight as the fall-out from this season's grand final wears on.

Ingham, brother and Shepparton playingcoach Andy and club president Chris Davkovski will all be present at the tribunal tonight to defend the player against a charge from the league regarding his involvement in the grand final.

Davkovski will represent the club tonight with high-profile sport lawyer Andrew Scott not involved.

Scott - a legal representative to the AFL Players' Association - presented Shepparton's case to an appeals board which overturned a tribunal decision ordering the grand final be played again.

The original tribunal of John Karounos and Gordon Porter had ordered a re-play of the grand final after it found Ingham's involvement in the match-deciding penalty shoot-out was "not sporting".

But the order to play the game again was overturned by an appeals board on October 4, leaving Shepparton as the season's premier.

Ingham was substituted from the field during extra-time of Shepparton's 7-6 penalty shoot-out win over Yoogali on September 23.

Ingham limped to the sidelines once during extra-time but was not substituted off, and legally returned to the field.

But he was unable to run-off the knock and was substituted for Mitchell Anderson.

Ingham returned to the field along with an injured Connor Campbell who was also subbed out of the game, to stand alongside teammates during the penalty shoot-out.

He then took Shepparton's eighth penalty of the shoot-out to keep the Reds in the game by levelling the scores 6-6.

The original action over the outcome of the grand final was taken by Yoogali.

Until now, North Eastern Soccer League had reserved its right to act.
