Rodrigo Marquina hit four goals as Tatura hammered Kyabram Phoenix 9-1 in a lopsided division two contest at Northern Oval on Sunday.

Marquina was not the only member of the Ibises to hit the net on multiple occasions with Walid Cheire helping himself to a hat-trick.

Tatura had the points in the bag by half-time when it led 5-0 and while Barry Rowlands scored a consolation goal for Kyabram, it could not temper a good day out for the new league leader.

The Phoenix may be in for a mighty long year, having conceded 14 goals in its first two matches.

Shaun Willis hit a double as Cobram Roar secured a 2-1 win against Shepparton at Cobram Showgrounds.

Hani Shamri got on the scoresheet for the Reds.

Shepparton United scored a 5-2 win over Shepparton South in the round’s othermatch at Central Park.

The Blues had the three points in their keeping when they raced out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back.

Berinder Singh, Roven Shaholli and Mohamed Al-Saady were among those on the scoresheet for United.

TomTennant and Joel Aitken, fresh from his six-goal haul in the opening round against Cobram, scored secondhalf goals for South.
