Sarah Loverso scored five goals as Shepparton United strengthened its lead in the FFV Goulburn North East Under-15/16 competition on Sunday.

United had few worries with a 10-0 demolition of Cobram Roar at Howley Oval to keep its three point advantage at the top of the table.

The Blues have now scored 24 goals and conceded just four for the season, with Loverso the clear standout.

Shepparton South heads the chasing pack after defeating Shepparton 5-2 at Rumbalara on Sunday.

Aimee Stanyer, Megan Hansen and Aysu Tanyolacar were among those to hit the back of the net for South, with the Reds goals coming courtesy of Alicia Rowan and Jasmine Furphy.

The goals rained in at Northern Oval in the under-12 mixed clash between Shepparton United and Kyabram Phoenix.

United had seven different goalscorers in the 9-1 result, with Cobram Roar downing Tatura 3-2 and Shepparton playing out a thrilling 3-3 draw against Shepparton South.

The lone under-17 match saw Cobram Roar secure its first points of the season thanks to a 3-2 win over Tatura.

Roar also enjoyed a good result in the under-14 match against the Ibises, scoring a comfortable 8-1 success and Shepparton United remained top after a 2-0 win over Kyabram Phoenix.
