Happy New Year to all members, players, fans and stakeholders.

2017 is set to be a monumental year for the Wolfpack, in fact historical, as we prepare and execute a relocation to our new home at HBF Arena towards the back end of the year.

The construction of our new stadium is progressing extremely well, and the facility will be a magnificent upgrade for our members.

It will be a source of pride for all of us, and will continue the many recent advances we have made with regards to professionalism, high performance and a renewed focus upon developing our people and Basketball programs.

In 2017 there will be many exciting developments for members, additional to our physical move:

1. We will be seeking member feedback on a new brand and look for the club, a contemporary statement that will align with our relocation.

2. We will continue to innovate and position ourselves as the club that offers great experiences and member engagement – via SBL game nights, member offers and other key events.

3. We will invest further time and capital in our club culture. The ‘Wolfpack Way’ is a special notion, but we want to explore this further, as our many loyal members, enjoying their Basketball, is the focal point of our existence.

4. We will roll out new programs and development opportunities, for players, coaches and club administrators. An investment in our people (staff, volunteers, athletes, coaches, etc.) pays healthy dividends for our future.

Our SBL rosters are nearly complete, and in true Wolves fashion, we are bullish about both teams’ prospects this season, and they have been preparing now for several months.

Their hard work and dedication is based around wanting to achieve Championship success, as the flagship teams within our club. We will warmly welcome some new athlete faces early in the New Year to our den.

Our WABL teams endured an emotional State Championships period, with the tragic loss of a young Lakeside player, but they worked hard and represented the Association admirably, and importantly, respectfully given the very sad circumstances.

The grading tournaments for the 2017 WABL season are not far away, and hard work and preparation for our many WABL teams is underway. Our fantastic, dedicated, coaches and teams are gearing up for a big winter campaign.

On the domestic front, the 2nd half of the junior Spring/Summer season commences in early February, and our senior domestic players commence their new season from next week. After a long rest, our domestic players – who literally number in the thousands – are ready to tip-off.

I look forward to working closely with everyone within our great club, assisted by our staff and Board, to ensure that ‘we the Wolves’ further cement our strong and growing position as the destination of choice for Basketball’.

In every respect the year 2017 will be successful and memorable.

We will move
We will grow
We will achieve
...And we will do this all together.

Enjoy your Basketball!
