3 DAY LOCKDOWN DUE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) (23 APRIL 2021)
As per the State Government announcement of the 3-day lockdown, all basketball activities are suspended from midnight tonight – Friday the 23rd. This applies to all trainings, games, programs etc.
The WBA will update members in regard to the plan post lockdown once we have more information.
Our Aussie Hoops session planned for Saturday morning the 24th is cancelled and a make up session will be offered at a later date.
The scheduled NBL1 game on Sunday the 25th will also be postponed to a later date. We will provide information on that date once known and all VIP, Greenzone and Corporate box seating will be honored at the replayed game.
WABL training scheduled for Monday the 26th will also be cancelled.
All other basketball activities scheduled are suspended as per the State Government guidelines.
Pending further information and State Government restrictions, we plan to resume basketball activities from Tuesday the 27th, however we will confirm this prior to recommencement.
The health and safety of our members is our number one priority, and we will work with all members and stakeholders to ensure a safe return to our sport as soon as we can.
