Coach of the Month | Mel Gardiner
Wolfpack Basketball's 2018 initiative, the Coach of the Month recipient, recognises our club's coaching talent and commitment across the entire Association. Yes that's Domestic, WABL and SBL.
Each month a coach will be recognised for their attitude, work ethic and alignment to our club vision.
Every monthly winner enters the draw at year end to win a $500 coaching grant, to better their skills and further develop their game experience and education.
Congratulations MEL GARDINER - our September winner!
Mel Gardiner is both a Domestic and WABL Coach, and in 2018, has led her Wolves Under 12 Girls Championship team to a 18-0 regular season and big Semi-Final win to advance to a WABL Grand Final against the Willetton Tigers on Sunday September 23.
Mel is highly-driven and supports and nurtures her young athletes carefully whilst teaching core principles such as team-work, consistency and how to maintain standards of performance across a long season with lots of games and training sessions.
Mel is incredibly passionate and has a very bright coaching future in the game. She has been clearly identified, along with her outstanding young team, as one of the Wolfpack's genuine 'stories of the season'.
