The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of Laniesha Paddon for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

The 6’0 forward joined the SBL in 2018, after playing WABL since 2015. In 2020 Laniesha played for the WABL U18 Championship women where she averaged 20 points a game.

Laniesha spoke to the Joondalup Wolves on her thoughts about re-signing for 2021.

“I am really excited to have signed for 2021, heading into this season in a team with such high calibre players that I can learn from and grow as a player makes it that much more exciting. Really looking forward to season 2021.”

Joondalup Wolves Women’s Head Coach Charles Nix shared his thoughts on Laniesha re-signing for the NBL1 West season.

“Niesh is a young up and coming star for the wolves, she’s an aggressive scorer that can hurt you in so many ways. Like a lot of young players, we are working hard with Niesh to be a more consistent presence on both sides of the floor and also help her understand where her spots our within our system. If we can harness what Niesh has the ability to bring then we have a really good player on our hands that has the ability to play at a higher level. I’m excited to see Niesh in our squad again and look forward to being a part of her journey.”

Laniesha will be joining Kayla Steindl, Nes’eya Williams, Izzy Miotti, Chelsea Belcher, Amy Kidner, Georgia Denehey, Amber Land, Alix Hayward, Tia Ucich, Olivia Basso and Eleanor Hartill on the Wolves Women’s roster in 2021.
